Remove a solid background, reduce image file sizes and prepare pictures for a website or document.

A practical workflow

  1. 1. Remove the background first

For a green screen, blue screen or another solid background, use Chroma Key Remover and export a transparent PNG. It is not an automatic remover for complex scenes.

  2. 2. Compress for the destination

Try WebP for the web or JPG for photos. Use PNG or WebP to keep transparency. Compare the output before replacing an original, and remember that GIF animation is not retained.

  3. 3. Package images for sharing

If the recipient needs one document instead of several pictures, use the PDF collection to combine your images into a PDF.

Which image format should I choose?

JPG suits photos without transparency. WebP supports transparency and lossy compression. PNG is lossless; changing its quality setting does not guarantee a smaller file. Keep an original and inspect the exported result.
